About Lauren
Hello, I'm Lauren! I'm a natural light photographer based in St. Louis, Missouri, specializing in weddings, couples, and portrait photography. Photography has been my passion for as long as I can remember — there's nothing quite like freezing a fleeting moment and turning it into something you can hold onto forever.
My journey into photography started with borrowed film cameras and rolls of black-and-white film during college. What began as a creative outlet quickly became my life's calling. After assisting established photographers for several years, I launched Lauren Bennett Photography with a simple mission: to capture authentic, heartfelt moments that tell your unique story.
I believe the best photographs happen when people feel comfortable, relaxed, and genuinely themselves. That's why I focus on creating a warm, fun atmosphere during every session. Whether we're dancing through a field of wildflowers or simply sharing a quiet moment together, my goal is to document the real you — not a posed version.
When I'm not behind the camera, you'll probably find me hiking with my golden retriever Scout, experimenting with new coffee brewing methods, or curled up with a good book. I'm a firm believer that life's most beautiful moments are often the simplest ones, and I bring that same philosophy to my photography.
My Approach
Natural & Authentic
I believe the most powerful photographs are the ones that capture real moments — a stolen glance, genuine laughter, the quiet tears of joy. No stiff posing, no forced smiles. Just you, beautifully and honestly.
Fun & Relaxed
Your session should feel like hanging out with a friend, not a stressful photoshoot. I create a laid-back atmosphere where you can be yourselves, have fun, and let the magic happen naturally.
Timeless & Beautiful
Trends come and go, but your photographs should last generations. I create images with a timeless, classic aesthetic — warm tones, soft light, and thoughtful composition that will never go out of style.
